Thurs. Mar. 10th, 2011 Willis Texas

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

If we do nothing else all day at least we are having sunshine and warm weather thats what our lifestyle is all about. No snow, no blustery cold days, lots of sunshine, lots of different scenery. We get to travel and live on the seashores, in the desert, in the mountains, in the swamp and the forest. We get to meet all kinds of interesting people, different languages and so many different accents and sayings. Different types of food and customs in the areas we go to, just so much is different each place that we stop at, especially the small towns and villages all are an interesting adventure.

Yesterday I discovered the kolache, to-day I found the Willis Supermarket and went there to check it out. You can see the influence here, just like shopping in Mexico. The music, bright colours, piñatas hanging, the smells, and all the different foods that I have only seen in the mexican grocery stores. Well I explored here the fruits and vegetables all the signs in English and Spanish it was like a mini Mexican vacation. The meat counters with the chicken feet, and various animal parts, AND they had pigtails I have only been able to get them back home on Ontario, now this made my day! I just had to pick some up.
nice day
Now back at home chat with our neighbours for a bit then decide to clean and vacuum the car. Both the car and coach are clean and shiny, so with this perfect weather it just makes me want to do more stuff. Now with a sense of accomplishment we get the lawn chairs out and enjoy our books for a while.

Then its time for supper, the original plan was BBQ'd pork ribs, but I found some pigtails and I prepare these the same way. So the pigtails for me and ribs for Suzie. Twelve minutes in the pressure cooker to season and tenderize,  then finish on the barbie with sweet sticky honey BBQ sauce for a tasty fall-off-the-bone tender meal. Along with this we had a baked sweet potato, sauerkraut and white corn.

After this great treat we chat for while, so thankful to be able to live this great lifestyle, then read a bit more before the tv comes on for one of our crime scene shows.
