Todays journey

241 miles (387 kms)

Well we had a great weekend and a good sleep last night up early this morning with some bright sunshine looks like it will be a nice day.
Bright start for the day
now its raining
But by 8:30 it was overcast and started to rain, we want to be on the road not before 9 am miss the morning rush hour traffic thru Buffalo. No hurry so we puttered around for a bit when the rain let up then hooked up the car and were on the road.

We had a nice drive today, drizzly and uneventful, taking our time, stopping at rest areas , stretch and walkabout a bit, make lunch and enjoy the scenery. From New York State to Pennsylvania then Ohio.
Every once in a while you see a sign for a a low bridge and Suzie was concerned, but when we bought our coach I actually measured the full height and have a sticker on the dash. We are 11ft 9 inches so plenty of room.

A little over 5 hours we arrived at Janice and Laurie's in Alliance Ohio. Parked on the street in front of their house and waited for them to arrive home from work. We stopped by here last year as well on our way south. They were neighbors in Plattsville Ontario from 1987 to about 1997 before they moved down here to work.
here for the night
Hi guys
Suzie even got her dog fix, playing with Sandy.

Its always nice to keep in touch and visit with friends on the road. So we chatted for a bit and decided to go out to the Olive Garden  a chain of Italian style restaurants that we have never been to.
So  a nice drive there and chat, along the way. We had good service with a friendly waitress and a very tasty meal and worthwhile dining experience. Unlimited salad and bread sticks, with huge portions for a reasonable prices. My dish was Lasagna, Chicken parmigiana and Fettuccine Alfredo very tasty.

Now it was back to their house chat for a while and home to call it a night, they go to bed early to get up for work in the morning and we want to be on the road by 9: am.

Thanks Laurie and Janice for your great hospitality.
