Winding down, maybe?

Where are we today ?
This morning our friends Steve and Barb hit the road at 8 am we had a wonderful week with them. Even thou Suzie was running here and there almost every day with her family stuff.
So today we have no real plans, I picked up a few groceries and was gonna mow some lawn here. But a call from her Dad saying that CCAC ( Community Care Access Centre) was visiting to evaluate his needs after surgery. A free service done here in Ontario for people physically in need. So right after lunch back to their place and I did a couple small maintenance things for her Dad.
After the meeting Suzie dropped me back in Plattsville to mow some lawn and get supper ready for whenever she got back home. She went back to straighten out some of his messed up prescriptions for him.
Plan for tonights meal was another of those Pickerel fillets (Walleye for our American friends) we picked up at the fish market in Port Burwell Ontario a couple weeks ago. So fired up our Weber Q 100 preheated and quickly grilled up a very tasty supper, along with a rice pilaf, fresh tomato and cucumber slices. Need I say it was absolutely wonderful!
on the preheated grill for 2 minutes
turn over for 4 more minutes and done to perfection
yum
Now after supper Suzie let the dogs out for a run and helped me fill the fresh water tank. Chat with our host Lea for a few minutes then call it a night. We getting plum wore out here.
Thanks for taking a peak today and hope you had a wonderful day too. Ready for this Ontario heat wave the next 2 days? We are!!!

  2. Bring on the heat, I'm ready. Actually had to briefly put on a fleece this afternoon, we were getting a cool breeze off the lake.
We'll see how hot it really gets.

  9. I think a lot of RVers are beginning to wind down their summer adventures. It's time for thoughts to turn to their southern winter travels. Be safe wherever you go.

  10. They call them that in Saskatchewan too! They fish for them in the lake here, mostly that and pike!

  12. It takes a lot of energy to look after someone at home just after hip surgery. Good thing you are there. Soon you will be on your own again.

  13. Looks like the flare bones were cut out. The only time pike is good is fresh out of the lake.

    1. I cut the bones out before I cooked it. The fish was awesome and it was Pickerel not Pike big difference.
