Campground emptying out as the weather gets even better.

Where are we today ?
Another warm night, no heat on, windows open a  bit and and beautiful sunny blue sky this morning. Last day of the long weekend so all the "weekenders" are packing up ready to head back home to work and school. Now we gonna have a few quiet days before the next round comes in. A few members from Michigan to celebrate their Memorial Day long weekend here.
Neighbors left, people in the valley, Gail, Randy and Hayley left, we said so long to all those people. After a few walkabouts we settled down to enjoy our books, Beside th cabin next to us in the sun, almost too hot in shorts and t-shirt, so we moved from sun to shade back and forth. Really a perfect day weather wise.
most rv's gone from the Valley
our neighbors gone
And so peaceful now, really enjoyed our books for a good while. Then 4 o'clock our friends dropped in for a social hour while they are still here. Offered Emile a light beer and he wanted it in his cup? With a straw?? Oh well .
He is just being a card
Then before we know it 5 pm and time to fire up our Weber Q. Preheat on high 15 minutes and turn down to Medium low, a couple acorn squash 1/4s wrapped in foil with a touch of Maple syrup for about 25 minutes until soft to touch. And a can of Baked beans on there about 20 minutes.
Then a couple Pollock fillets oiled and spiced (old bay spice) about 2 minutes per side done to perfection.
quick and easy
Love fish and beans, a small salad and acorn squash
hit the spot
After supper we were able to enjoy our books outside on a nice mild night (mid 60's F=18c) until 8:30pm. Gotta love this time of year!
another pretty decent sunset to wrap up a great day.
Thanks for stopping by again and taking a peek, hope you had a wonderful monday too with decent weather.

  2. So, how many books do you figure you go through each week? Sometimes it's nice to have lots of people you know around and sometimes it's nice to just be by yourself. Looks like your having a little bit of both. Good for you!

    1. About 3-4 books a week depending on how busy we are. We enjoy a few people around sometimes and really enjoy our time alone.

  6. Great dinner. How do you keep the fish from falling apart on the grill? Would it work ( for me I'm thinking ) to just put it on a piece of foil and cook it that way.

    1. A little olive oil on the fish and turn very carefully only once. Or tin foil works (spray with pam or olive oil) is excellent too.

    1. Well we don't have to maintain a big house, and enjoy reading. Like to schedule our days so that we can make time. Dinner was wonderful.
