Sunny windy day that we wrapped up our last one here, And some sad news about a fellow blogger.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Cooler again last night and very windy, but like always a wonderful sleep we had. Today is windy and mostly sunny this morning got a couple of nice walkabouts then at 9 am over to Diane and Dons, to set up their shaw satellite dish for them. Something that I  have come to be able to do quite easily over the years after moving ours all over the country. But after attempting for while we got a good signal on my finder, but no thing on their receiver. Think because their home systems were changed to Hi def LNBs and receivers this older one needs to be changed as well. Now they need to call Shaw and have things switched, I wish them luck.
a pretty decent warm day.
just a cool breeze
So back home for lunch then off to get our laundry taken care of, Suzie sorts it and I take to the machines for them to do their magic, while I enjoy my e-reader. I fold it, bring it home and she puts it away, Team work does the trick.
Then a few more walkabouts and enjoyed more reading time in the warm sun with a cool breeze, works great for us. Such a wonderful relaxing afternoon, Getting ready to leave here in the morning so check our tires and oil on the coach secured a few things, Enjoyed a quiet Happy Hour then time to whip up supper. Tonight gonna grill a Turkey Breast on our Weber Q, And make a brocoli apple salad to go with it, for the recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right side bar.  We enjoyed it last night so much made it again.
even had some cranberry orange sauce I made in the freezer
sure works great with Turkey
Some sad news I got today in an email of the passing of Lynne Braden, of Winnie Views on May 16th. After her long battle with cancer. We have followed her blog for many years and all the incredible adventures that she enjoyed. She will be fondly remembered as a woman who loved life and travel. As she had mentioned and I quote "Don't want too long to start living your dreams."
what a wonderful journey she had
After supper and dishes done we took a walkabout the campground , really getting busy here the trailers are pulling in for this first long weekend of the summer. The May 24, ( Victoria Day Weekend). A great way to kick off the summer season.
We had just heard they have "Soft Serve" Ice cream here in the park, so our first destination was to stop by and do a taste test. We have not had this for a very long time.
hey, this is pretty tasty and a reasonable price as well
yummy
We walked around a bit more said hi to a few people then back home, it is starting to cool down. 8 pm we can head on inside now, we had a wonderful day outside.
couple of days ago this was empty
The rest of our evening was relaxing, too chilly to sit outside. After 8 pm anyway so inside to finish this posting and relax with show on TV. No problem with all the crowds coming in we don't mind heading out on the morning for a quieter place, just because we can. Abad we have family to visit.
Thanks for taking a peek today and hope you can enjoy this Canadian long weekend and have great weather.

  5. Hi George and Suzy. Yesterday, I got the email about Lynne passing away. Had tears on my glasses right away. Feels like we lost a long time friend. Geeze. I learned so much from her writing over the years! I think her's was the first Blog I began to follow when I was just learning to speak RV. For sure, I felt as if I could figure it all out and do it, because Lynne and Millie were out there living the lifestyle. Well, happy trails and safe travels to a dear friend. Clancy
